Sondroyo recently completed an 11 GHz microwave link in partnership with the University of New Hampshire and Shoals Marine Lab. 11 GHz spectrum allows interference free communication on frequencies specially licensed with the FCC. The link will allow the lab's partners a dedicated channel to transfer oceanographic sensor data off the island for processing.
